Rob, a New York State Certified Public Accountant, has a large range of experience working in both public and private accounting positions over his career. He has served clients in the non-profit, fashion, sports and entertainment industries, along with working directly for a professional sports league, a multinational consumer products company, and several construction companies as a financial executive. Robert helped establish new royalty and licensing fee audit guidelines for auditing cable and satellite television providers on their distribution of sports programming to homes and restaurants/bars.
Rob was introduced to performance driving by a colleague who competed with a Porsche 993 Turbo for Car and Driver’s One Lap of America, and also raced spec Miata’s. Around the same time, another friend let him take his Porsche for a spin. This was enough to get hooked and after a few years of “planning,” he purchased his own 2013 Porsche Boxster S. He has participated at several manufacturer-sponsored track days with Audi and BMW and will think nothing of flying down to Atlanta for a day at the Porsche Experience Center. Robert is a member of the Connecticut Valley Region of the Porsche Club of America and participates in the club’s HPDE program. He serves on a few boards of non-profits included one he founded, Ridgetop Lakes Conservancy, a charity with a mission to protect and preserve the environment. On weekends when he is not at the track, he can be found at his lakeside retreat in the Catskills Mountains of New York writing about his experiences.
