Jonathan Yarmis has had two passions in life: technology and cars (and not necessarily in that order). In technology, Yarmis has been a leading voice on disruptive technologies, having spent a career on the leading edge of technology at such top-tier firms as Gartner and Amazon Web Services. He combined his passion for the two as chairperson of the eAutoWorld conference at the height of the dot com fever.

He can trace his interest in cars back to the very first race he attended at Lime Rock in 1965. Thus began a life-long love of cars and Lime Rock (where he served as a volunteer in the Righthanders Club running guest transportation for several years). He has raced from the very short (autocross) to the very long and crazy (One Lap of America).

A recent transplant to Austin, Texas, you can usually find Yarmis at some Cars & Coffee event in and around Austin on the weekend, enjoying the rich and diverse car scene in Texas. (Pre-COVID, the Cars & Coffee at the Circuit of the Americas often had over 1,000 cars there!)
