The SOMO Showdown: Car Show & Cruise is scheduled for August 29, 2026, at the Jefferson City Jaycees Fairgrounds in Jefferson City, Missouri. This event features cars, trucks, and motorcycles, with all proceeds benefiting the Special Olympics of Missouri: Central Region.
The event begins with gates and registration opening at 7:00 AM. Judging starts at 12:00 PM, and the awards ceremony follows at 2:00 PM. Trophies will be awarded for multiple categories, including Best of Show, Best Muscle/Pro Street, Best Import, Best Lifted, Best Lowered, SOMO Athlete’s Choice, People’s Choice, Best Motorcycle, Best Under Construction, Best Interior, and Best Paint/Graphics. Top five awards will be given in each category, which include Antique Cars (Pre-1930), Classic Cars (1930–1980), Modern Cars (1981–Later), Muscle Cars, Imports, Trucks, Mini-Trucks, Custom Builds/Rat Rods, and Motorcycles.
Attendees can enjoy live music, entertainment, food vendors, shopping, a kids area, and raffles. Car entry is $25 per vehicle, while spectator entry and parking are free. Pre-registration is preferred, and exclusive perks for pre-registered participants will be announced soon.
