Saturday, March 21st marks our 51st Dragon Rally® driving event – and our first of 2026! After 50 hugely successful rallies hosted by Smoky Mountain Drives, we’re excited to kick off another incredible year. We host monthly drives from March through November, so start planning your Tail of the Dragon adventure now!

Join us for a full day of spirited driving as we guide you through America’s greatest driving roads, nestled in the breathtaking Smoky Mountains and featuring the legendary Tail of the Dragon. You’ll connect with fellow car enthusiasts driving everything from Mustangs to McLarens – sports cars, exotics, and luxury vehicles are all welcome.

Each event draws participants from an average of 10 different states, creating the perfect opportunity to forge lifelong friendships with people who share your passion. Think of it as Cars and Coffee, but where you actually get to drive! We handle all the details: planned stops, professional photographers capturing your journey, scheduled photo shoots, and a catered dinner waiting at the finish. You just bring your car – we’ll take care of everything else.

As locals to the area, we know not only the popular routes but also the hidden gems that are equally spectacular. Our routes change completely every month and span 220-290 miles of pure driving bliss. Every event includes at least one run through the famous Tail of the Dragon, plus roads like the Cherohala Skyway, Foothills Parkway, Blue Ridge Parkway, Moonshiner 28, Hellbender, and Devil’s Triangle.
