Car Nutz Car Club Cruise Night

It’s almost that time of year! Car Nutz Club will have a big birthday this year, in March 2004, 6 likeminded friends got together in The Bagel Master restaurant on Somerset Street, North Plainfield and formed a car club, based on their love of Muscle and Classic Cars. Mike Pelligrino, Larry Van Winkle (rip), Al Bender (rip), Neil Gary, Tony Stanislao (rip)and Dan Battista were charter members with Pelligrino voted President and Battista Vice President. In considering a name, local resident Ralph Schaeffer remarked that all you guys were “nuts” about your cars….hence Car Nutz Car Club was named! 20 years later we still are together and thriving. Wednesday May 1st we will gather at the Scotchwood Diner and kick off our 20th season.
