The 35th Annual Run to the Sun Car and Truck Show returns to Myrtle Beach March 14-15-16, 2024, at the Old Myrtle Square Mall, 2501 North Kings Highway. Considered the largest independent classic car show on the east coast, the three-day event features over 3,500 pre-1989 cars and trucks, 150 vendors and sponsors, and 10,000 spectators on 56 acres. We look forward to welcoming Luke Duke and The Blues Brothers to the event. Come see Tom Wopat, Luke Duke and the souped-up 1969 Dodge Charger "General Lee" all weekend at the Run to the Sun. Tom starred in the iconic 1980's TV series “The Dukes of Hazzard” which aired 147 episodes over 6 years. Tom has been performing in stage musicals since the age of 12. Wopat has enjoyed a multi -faceted career in film, television, on the Broadway stage, and singing in venues as varied as Carnegie Hall, The Grand Ol’ Opry, and the Hollywood Bowl. He has also recorded 12 albums in the last 35 years, the most recent being July’s release, the eponymous singer/songwriter- styled “Wopat”.
Also appearing are The Blues Brothers with Stan and Bob Hammond as Jake and Elwood Blues. The brothers have been performing as Jake and Elwood Blues from the hit 1980 movie "The Blues Brothers" for almost a decade and will be at Run to the Sun with the Bluesmobile, their 1974 Dodge Monaco Sedan. Come by for a photo opportunity and to say hello in the celebrity area located in the north-west vendor and sponsor area.
