The 19th Annual Scavengers Car Show is set for Sunday, July 26, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Mermaid Events Center in Mounds View, Minnesota. The show features awards including “Top 10 on HWY 10,” Scavengers Pick, Young Gun, Spectators Choice, Kids Choice, Best Bike, Mermaid Choice and others. An awards ceremony will take place at 1 p.m.
The event will host giveaways, custom painted trash cans, a pedal car, and a bake sale by the Scavengerettes benefiting local charities. Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation will be present to support the fight against childhood cancer. Food will be available from the Mermaid.
The Young Backyard Builders Program by Veit Automotive Foundation returns, and the show is a voting event for Minnesota Street Rod Association cars of the year. Admission is $10 for participants, with free admission for those under 21 with valid ID. A portion of the proceeds will go to Beyond The Yellow Ribbon. Registration includes goodie bags and dash plaques while supplies last. Space is available for approximately 350 cars.
