The Expo’s signature event is the Sunday Concours in the Village which showcases a diverse array of vehicles\, ranging from classic and vintage to modern and exotics. \nOne of the key highlights of the Sandhills Motoring Expo is its focus on gathering together enthusiasts\, collectors\, industry professionals\, and the general public to celebrate their shared passion for automobiles. SUMMARY:Miatas at the Gap XXX
DESCRIPTION:Simply put\, MATG is THE longest-running and one of the largest Miata gatherings in the country. Located near the Tail of the Dragon\, Miatas at the Gap brings enthusiasts together to drive some of the greatest roads in the country. 2026 will be the 30th anniversary of MATG! \nAttendees include Miata newbies to 20+ year veterans with vehicles ranging from stock to Exocet/track built and everything in between. This event attracts visitors from across the United States and even from other countries. Miatas were made for curvy roads and this area has plenty of those. \n“Ground Zero” for this event is the Fontana Village Resort located in Fontana Dam\, NC and close to the legendary Tail of the Dragon. With 318 curves in 11-miles\, the road is America’s #1 sportscar and motorcycle road. Nearby you can find other roads such as Wayah Road\, the Cherohala Skyway\, Foothills Parkway\, Moonshiner 28\, the Devil’s Triangle. Plus the Blue Ridge Parkway\, Diamondback 266A\, and Six Gap in Georgia are all within a few hours of the Tail of the Dragon. \nOn Friday and Saturday\, there is a “vendor alley” where attendees can pick up Miata parts\, meet manufacturers\, and purchase memorabilia for the event. We have a registration tent where you can register your vehicle\, pick up your event pre-order\, and purchase additional event-specific items depending on availability.
