The Rochester Volunteer Fire Company hosts a car show on the Fire Department grounds once a year. This event is held on the third Saturday of September along with the community event “Day in the Country”. We use the car show to not only raise funds for the fire department, but to allow our community to come to our station, see our equipment, and meet the first responders who serve our community. The fire department personnel also cook and serve food out of the station for people to purchase, and a raffle is held during the car show. All of the money raised from this event goes directly to the Rochester Volunteer Fire Company. This year, we are raising money for airbags which can be used for vehicle stabilization and lifting debris in the event of a structural collapse.
