About PTSD & Mental Illness:
About 26% of Americans struggle with some form of Mental Illness. Research shows that nearly 50% of those struggling with Mental Illness commit suicide. People with Mental Illness face multiple challenges. Besides struggling with the symptoms and disabilities of the disease they are also faced with the prejudice and stereotypes that result from the misconception about mental illness. They are forced to deal with not only the public-stigma but also a personal-stigma. Cars4Awareness along with LifeWithPTSD has set out to reduce this stigma by Educating the public, Supporting the people effected by the illness, and Encouraging others to speak up and do the same. We encourage everyone to come out and participate in our charity car shows to show your support, raise funds, help spread awareness, and join us in the ultimate goal of crushing the stigma. Please check out
